Announcement
Project Zomboid is on Omnipass
25 September 2026
The apocalypse just got a Pass. Project Zomboid is live in the library on Standard Plus and up — Build 42, vanilla only, up to 8 survivors on one world.
Zomboid is a hungry Java game. A lot of hosts still ship the publisher’s 8 GB heap, then wonder why the box dies. We rewrite the JVM flags every boot to a 2 GB G1 heap and refuse to start if that cap is missing, so the world actually fits a Plus Pass instead of pretending it needs 8–10 GiB. Saves sit in a visible data/ folder (Freeze can see them), stop/quit is clean, and the second UDP port comes from your allocated block instead of fighting a hardcoded neighbour.
Premium is room around that same 2 GB heap, not a bigger Java server. We are not inventing per-player RAM claims — empty world sits around 1.6 GiB once the heap is capped.
On the Pass: Password (leave empty for open), Admin password (sign in as admin in-game — not the join password), and Max players. Everything needs a short restart. The name you type is the public server name; the internal world stays pinned.
Grab a Plus Pass, deploy Zomboid, set the passwords, and call the group.
